Motor Sport: Films Through the Years.
With the film Rush the biopic of the F1 star James Hunt being released in cinemas this Friday, people are asking will it be a true reflection of 1970's racing? We've decided to take a look back at some of the best racing car movies from over the years and see what Rush has to compete with.
Senna: 2010 is a documentary on the life and death of the famous Brazilian Formula One Driver Ayrton Senna and his highs and lows of his career.
Le Mans: 1971 features Steve McQueen and great scenes of real footage of the 24 Hours of Le Mans auto race in June 1970.
Winning: 1969 tells the story of rising star of the race circuit Frank Capua, who dreams of winning the Indianapolis 500.
Grand Prix: 1966 is one of JP's personal favorites; we love the old film quality and the colours used within this film. This film was released a few years before John Partridge began and fuelled our passion and interest in classic cars.
